There's an interview up at Newsarama with Amanda Conner about the new Black Canary Barbie doll that folks are getting so hot under the collar about.
But...it's Barbie. Barbie just isn't known for her conservative fashion sense.
And it's a collector Barbie. It isn't intended for kids, not really (not at that price!).
Which is good. Because, as a mom, I've got to tell you that Mattel has lost the fashion-doll war when it comes to what kids like. I've got two daughters. And a toy bin full of old Bratz dolls. (And I'm pretty sure at least a few of them have shown up in fishnets.)
